TGIF

Happy Friday!!! What a week!!! I am so happy that it is Friday! This week has been a long one! I didn't get much done as far as scrapping but I do have a couple of little note pads to share!
These are just a few of the ones I plan on making for upcoming fairs! I really need to start mass producing soon! Time is flying by. Before I know it - I will be setting up for my first fair with 1 of each item!!!

I found these small notepads at a local store and decided to cover them and make them so they can clip right your purse (or where ever you want to hang them!) I did start embellishing the first two with the owl punch but knew I had to venture away from it - since not everyone likes the owl! I have a few more ideas for future ones! So for the extra one - I added some big flowers. I just love the big flowers, they add so much deminsion and fancy to a project!!

If you look closely in the background of my pics - you can see my desk. Does anyone elses end up like this? I start a project, cannot stop as I move on to another and soon - my desk space is so small I cannot put down a piece of paper. This is a pic of the desk:

It isn't as bad as it has been but it is still messy! So - my goal is to TRY and clean up after each round of projects so I have room to creatively work! We will see how that goes. This is - hopefully - a working weekend. (amidst all the other things I have going on!)

Thanks for poppin in and as always- let me know what you think!

TGIF!!!!!!!!

Happy Friday all! Not sure about where you are but here in Maine it is HOT HOT HOT! So hot in fact that schools are closing due to the extreme heat. I never thought I would see school cancelled for a non snow storm. My kiddo - however - is still in school and probably hating every minute of this heat.

Today I would like to share another project I found for craft fairs. These are going to be great teacher's gifts! I like to try out a project before I sit down and make a bunch, just in case the directions are hinky or I have to alter something, or it - in some cases - comes out really ugly!!! This was my trial one but I love it and will probably sell it along with the others!!

I made the base with a bright green (Christmas-y bright - not neon bright!!) card stock and used some scrap patterned paper (just for you Rach!) from Basic Grey. I just love this paper and wish I had more! I matted the patterned paper onto a mustard-y yellow card stock. As I sat and wondered what to put on the front - I thought about upcoming events and I HAD to think of Christmas. I know with heat like we are having - Christmas seems so far away but I want to get a jump start on it and by making these - helping others get a head start.

What says school/teacher like this adorable owl? I never thought I would fall into the "owl" fad but I just love this guy! You can do so much with him. Some day I will take a day and show you the many, many things he can make!! I added 3 colorful buttons for dimension and tucked in a pen. I also stamped ABC's and 1,2,3's on the small white mat in red.

Here is the inside:

What do you think? I think teachers are going to love these! And grandmothers, aunts, friends, everyone!!!

Thanks for popping in today! Stay cool!

Happy Humpday!!

Wow - it is Wednesday already!! I am soo looking forward to the weekend. The hubby will be hunting and the kiddo will be at an Olympians fall harvest event at church! That means....... scraptime!!!

Today I wanted to share a couple of quick pics of some grocery list/notepads that my super friend Katie taught me to make. These are great gifts and so easy to make. All you need is some notepads, misc paper and an embellishment! You can even cut them in half to make them smaller! Add a small magnet to the back if you want to hang on the fridge! Super stocking stuffer for a secret pal or co worker!

Enjoy your day and I will see what neat things I can come up with tomorrow! Happy Day!
