Happy February all!!! Can you believe it? Valentine's Day is right around the corner. (and so are the Olympics and the first race at Daytona!) What are you getting your special someone? Why not make them something from the heart? (you can send me chocolate tho!!)
And - the groundhog saw his shadow yesterday so we will be blessed with 6 more (long) weeks of winter. On the flip side - if he hadn't seen it - we would be seeing signs of spring in about - um - 6 weeks!!! :)
Today I want to show you a couple of cards and projects I worked on last weekend. The first one is a birthday card for someone special. I found the technique to make it on Splitcoast Stampers site. The directions are here. I used up some scrap paper that was bright and bold. I also used some of the many $1 stamps I have. These were from the birthday sets. I seek out the bins with the $1 stamps at ACMoore and Mike's all the time.
The next thing I want to share is a Valentine's Day card box I made. It holds 8 or 9 little card pockets with white inserts. This way to can write your own V-day saying or note on it. I used the new clear mount set from Stampin' Up for the little critters. Love the new sets by the way. Great storage savers!!! Not quite ready to un-mount all my wood sets yet tho. (I found the directions to make the holder somewhere. If you designed it - thank you and I am sorry I cannot remember where I found it.)
And last but not least - it a V-Day spinner card. Saw this also on Splitcoast and it was a little harder to make than I thought it would be. But it came out cute. I will probably stick it into my daughter's lunch box the Friday before the big day!
My hunny had lasik surgery last week and altho he is not 100% yet - I adjusted to his face without glasses much quicker than I thought I would. He also likes not having to deal with glasses! Here he is! We were playing cards the other night and decided to have Maggie our lab help him out! Too cute!
Hope you have a wonderful day!! Thanks for popping in!
Nice Job Kathy...I totally love Splitcoast Stampers. Purchased the cartridge for the Cricut so we could make pillow boxes and they had a great idea using the pillow boxes to make a little bucket. So stinking cute! Everything looks great!
