Easter bunnies

HAPPY TAX DAY!
Here is another cute card that I made for Ashley to give people for Easter. Once again - my friend Katie found this cute design on a Stampin' Up demo site. They are so easy to make with circle and oval punches. You can make them any color you want so it is a terrific way to use up some scrap colored cardstock.
I also used the glittery shimmer spray I made. I found that if you spray this into the air and drag your project thru it - there is less of a chance of getting blotches of glitter and a much more even coating! So needless to say - I have a beautiful sparkly section of my basement floor! But - it is my room and I love it!
Thanks for "hopping" in and checking my blog out!!! See ya tomorrow!

Back from the dead!!

Can you believe how time flies? I cannot believe that is has been so long since I posted! But - I have done some scrapping since the last post.

Check these out! My friend Katie found these tutorials online here to make these adorable critters. Their expressions are determined by how you set the eyes! Don't you just LOVE them? They are so stinking cute

I think my favorite is the bumblebee!

I decided to take one pattern and make a birthday card for my niece Grace who is having a camping themed birthday. I know it isn't camping but I do know that there are BUGS camping!! Besides - it was just too cute to pass up!
You probably cannot see it but I made a glitter spray with the Stampin' Up glitter paint and some rubbing alcohol.

Life has been so busy around the Walker household. Ash started gymnastics last fall and between that and dance - this spring has been a whirlwind of excitement! And to top it all off - softball has started! And Ash is thinking about doing summer gymnastics too!! Boy - I cannot imagine how you ladies with more than 1 child do it all!! Hats off to you! But Ash is loving gymnastics and she is pretty good at it too. We have been attending inter squad meets in Skowhegan on the weekends! Another one this weekend! I will have to be sure to post some pictures soon!
Thanks for popping in to visit! I will post again tomorrow!!! Have a great day!!!

Finally- something to share!!!

Happy Thursday! I actually have something to share today!!!

I am headed to a ladies retreat at our church this weekend and was asked to come up with something easy and crafty to teach!!! I thought that these clothespins were cute and that they could be used for several things, from bookmarks, to recipe holders, to magnets!

They are sooo simple to make as well. Cut a piece of scrap paper to about 1/2" wide and adhere to the clothespin. I used Ailene's fast grab glue because it dries quick and doesn't let the paper slide around a bunch!

Then you can add a felt flower, or die cut, or paper flower, or just about anything to embellish it! If you want to make it a bookmark, however, add your embellishments to the ends you squeeze - not the closed end - so it sticks out of your book! Easy peasy - good to go!!!

I know it isn't much but there will be more to come!! Thanks for popping in!

Happy Wednesday!

Happy February all!!! Can you believe it? Valentine's Day is right around the corner. (and so are the Olympics and the first race at Daytona!) What are you getting your special someone? Why not make them something from the heart? (you can send me chocolate tho!!)

And - the groundhog saw his shadow yesterday so we will be blessed with 6 more (long) weeks of winter. On the flip side - if he hadn't seen it - we would be seeing signs of spring in about - um - 6 weeks!!! :)

Today I want to show you a couple of cards and projects I worked on last weekend. The first one is a birthday card for someone special. I found the technique to make it on Splitcoast Stampers site. The directions are here. I used up some scrap paper that was bright and bold. I also used some of the many $1 stamps I have. These were from the birthday sets. I seek out the bins with the $1 stamps at ACMoore and Mike's all the time.

The next thing I want to share is a Valentine's Day card box I made. It holds 8 or 9 little card pockets with white inserts. This way to can write your own V-day saying or note on it. I used the new clear mount set from Stampin' Up for the little critters. Love the new sets by the way. Great storage savers!!! Not quite ready to un-mount all my wood sets yet tho. (I found the directions to make the holder somewhere. If you designed it - thank you and I am sorry I cannot remember where I found it.)

And last but not least - it a V-Day spinner card. Saw this also on Splitcoast and it was a little harder to make than I thought it would be. But it came out cute. I will probably stick it into my daughter's lunch box the Friday before the big day!

My hunny had lasik surgery last week and altho he is not 100% yet - I adjusted to his face without glasses much quicker than I thought I would. He also likes not having to deal with glasses! Here he is! We were playing cards the other night and decided to have Maggie our lab help him out! Too cute!

Hope you have a wonderful day!! Thanks for popping in!
