Over the Hump

Happy Thursday all! We are over the hump and on the home stretch for the weekend!!! Yeah!! This is a busy weekend for us as it is dance recital weekend! Ashley and I both dance so it will be interesting!

I wasn't sure if I shared this unique picture of Ash that I took a week or so ago! Talk about one's own fashion style!! She surely has her own! I didn't influence this outfit in any way, shape or manner. I figure there would be bigger things to worry about than this outfit!!

I am hoping to post the new layout of last year's softball team tonight so sty tuned! This is a crazy week so bear with me but I promise to try!!

Have you seen the new Stampin' Up color lineup that will be offered in July??!! Can you say "AWESOME"??? They are keeping some of the current in colors (the ones I happen to love!) and adding more colors. They are even rearranging the color families!! What a great change for SU!! I will be hosting a party in July if anyone needs anything!

Hope you all have a fantabulous day!!!

Sorry it took so long!

Happy Monday all! I am so sorry it has taken me so long to post this card. We had some issues last week that just overtook my time!
But here I am and here is the beautiful wedding card (if I say so myself) I promised you!!!

I made this card with a white cardstock base with a black mat. The smaller white mat was embossed with a cuttlebug embossing mat that is a flower design.

The beautiful butterflies are made with a wonderful embosslits from Stampin' Up! It cuts and embosses the butterflies at the same time!! This product is a "must have" if you like butterflies!! I believe you get 5 butterflies in one cut - ranging in size from tiny to the large ones you see here! The vellum just makes them pop!!! I added 2 rhinestones to the center of the big butterfly on the left.
The picture on the right shows the butterflies a little better.
I also added a small strip of vellum under my black stripe to add a little more depth.
I found some wide sheer ribbon in my stash and topped it with some white satin ribbon.
I thought about adding some glitter to the raised areas of the embossed section but decided not to. What do you think?
Thanks for popping in today! I am looking forward to showing you a 2 page layout I finally got to make this past week (in my not so free time!!)! Have a wonderful day!!!

Another new project!

Happy Hump Day!!! I meant to post the other day but forgot to down;pad my pictures to thumb drive so I could post while at work (sshhhhh!). But here I am. I have a few minutes tonight to share!

The first card is a baby shower card I made for a friend who is expecting (surprise!) a girl!!!

I used some bazzill cardstock that was already embossed with dots. I was actually surprised to find that bazzill had cardstock with that texture! Lucky me! I was planning on using my swiss dots embossing folder.
I found this idea online and once again cannot remember where I saw it so kudos to the person who created it! I used my scallop edge punch for the sleeves and the scallop circle punch for the leg holes. Both punches are from Stampin' Up!. I used some small flower print paper for a small scallop circle for a little bib, and added a ribbon bow.

Here is another angle for you to see it. Standing up makes all the difference! Now if I can just find the perfect gift to go with my perfect card!!!!
Perhaps I will find a cute way to package the gift to match the card! Something to think about!!!
Thanks for popping in tonight! Tomorrow I will share a beautiful wedding card! Nite all!!!

TGIF!!!

It's Friday..... It's Friday!!!!! Don't you just love Fridays??!!!!!

Today I want to share with you a cute little giraffe I found while surfing online. I wish I could give credit to the person who made the original but unfortunately I do not remember where I was when I saw it! So - if it was you.... please let me know so I can give you proper credit!
Isn't he adorable??? You can take "him"and change a few things and make "him" a "her"!!! Just add some pink paper and a cute bow and voila!!! A girl giraffe!!

I hope you are excited as I am that I am back into the posting world!!
This weekend we will be attending our annual Relay for Life's auction! If you happen to be in Canton - stop by the fire station and take a peek! So many things to bid on!!! Come enjoy the fun!!

Have a terrific weekend!!!

Easter bunnies

HAPPY TAX DAY!
Here is another cute card that I made for Ashley to give people for Easter. Once again - my friend Katie found this cute design on a Stampin' Up demo site. They are so easy to make with circle and oval punches. You can make them any color you want so it is a terrific way to use up some scrap colored cardstock.
I also used the glittery shimmer spray I made. I found that if you spray this into the air and drag your project thru it - there is less of a chance of getting blotches of glitter and a much more even coating! So needless to say - I have a beautiful sparkly section of my basement floor! But - it is my room and I love it!
Thanks for "hopping" in and checking my blog out!!! See ya tomorrow!

Back from the dead!!

Can you believe how time flies? I cannot believe that is has been so long since I posted! But - I have done some scrapping since the last post.

Check these out! My friend Katie found these tutorials online here to make these adorable critters. Their expressions are determined by how you set the eyes! Don't you just LOVE them? They are so stinking cute

I think my favorite is the bumblebee!

I decided to take one pattern and make a birthday card for my niece Grace who is having a camping themed birthday. I know it isn't camping but I do know that there are BUGS camping!! Besides - it was just too cute to pass up!
You probably cannot see it but I made a glitter spray with the Stampin' Up glitter paint and some rubbing alcohol.

Life has been so busy around the Walker household. Ash started gymnastics last fall and between that and dance - this spring has been a whirlwind of excitement! And to top it all off - softball has started! And Ash is thinking about doing summer gymnastics too!! Boy - I cannot imagine how you ladies with more than 1 child do it all!! Hats off to you! But Ash is loving gymnastics and she is pretty good at it too. We have been attending inter squad meets in Skowhegan on the weekends! Another one this weekend! I will have to be sure to post some pictures soon!
Thanks for popping in to visit! I will post again tomorrow!!! Have a great day!!!
